“The orange line that stitches London together, still running through lockdown for the people who kept the city going.”
About this place
The London Overground was launched in 2007 and runs on routes around and across the capital, from Highbury and Islington to Stratford, Barking and beyond. In 2024 its six lines were given individual names, such as Lioness and Windrush. The orange roundel on the trains has become a symbol of east and north London travel. This photograph shows an Overground carriage during lockdown, almost empty.
